Pigskin gloves have greater dexterity than cowhide, but a little less than goatskin or deerskin. Their great advantages are in their cost – much less than goatskin and deerskin; and in their durability – they will usually hold up longer than those gloves in some situations, as well. Pigskin is more durable than other gloves when wet, and have better breathability than the other skins, due to their porous texture. While cowhide will stiffen up after getting wet, pigskin gloves stay pliable. They can actually become softer and more pliable with extended use. They are not as thick as Cowhide, so they have better dexterity. Since they are generally less expensive than the other skins, they make an attractive alternative.
